Sun spots, melasma, post-inflammatory pigmentation and freckles can look almost identical on the surface, yet they behave very differently underneath. Some pigment sits in the top layer of skin, and some sits deeper. Treating one type like another is a common reason people spend months on products that do not help.

Every plan at Pacifica MD starts with a proper assessment. Our deep skin analysis including VISIA captures what is happening beneath the surface, including sun damage that is not yet visible. We can accurately see what type of pigment we are dealing with, how much of it there is, and how well it will respond to various treatments.
