Benefits beyond menopause symptom relief
Hormonal imbalances are more common than you might think, and often worsen with age, significantly impacting your quality of life. Symptoms like decreased energy, irritability, cognitive issues, and weight gain are frequently misdiagnosed, leading to treatments that don’t address the root cause.
Bone Density and Osteoporosis
BHRT has been shown to prevent bone loss and reduce fracture risk.
Cardiovascular health and ASCVD Risk
Some studies suggest BHRT may reduce the risk of coronary artery disease, especially when started early in the menopausal transition.
Metabolic Effects
BHRT can improve cholesterol profiles, enhance insulin sensitivity, and reduce diabetes risk.
Cognitive Function and Dementia Risk
Low estrogen levels in menopause are associated with neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.
Blood sugar regulation and diabetes prevention
During menopause, fluctuating estrogen levels can disrupt blood sugar regulation, raising the risk of insulin resistance and, consequently, type 2 diabetes. The hormonal shifts can also increase abdominal fat, further affecting blood sugar control.
